What is included?

The $8,000 investment includes 4.5 packed days of education and inspiration, all-inclusive accommodations at Ventana, complimentary WiFi, special gifts and amenities designed by Laurie for all attendees, staff gratuities and access to an elite group of the industry’s top tastemakers. All meals will be provided Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  In addition, attendees will be offered the opportunity to shadow Laurie Arons and team onsite at a 2019 wedding.

Will ground transportation be provided?

Air travel and transfers are the responsibility of the attendee.

Will all food and drinks be provided?

Yes, meals each day will be provided at the Preserve, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Can I come in before or stay after the workshop dates?

What airport do we travel into?

By car, San Jose International Airport is about two hours away from Ventana. San Francisco International is about two and a half hours away.

What is the weather like?

March in Big Sur will have mild springtime temperatures. Hopefully we’ll experience pleasant sunny days, but evenings do get cool and rain is possible.

What should I pack?

The workshop is casual yet professional. We encourage you to dress as you’d be most comfortable sitting in a classroom style setting, but also come prepared to visit outdoor photoshoot locations. Jeans, boots, sweaters and outerwear are great staple items to bring.

Will I have cell phone service?

While the Big Sur area has little to no cell coverage, Ventana does have cell service for several carriers in the resort area.

Is there wifi?

Yes, high speed internet access is available throughout the resort.

Do we need to book our accommodations?

No, we will arrange accommodations for attendees, no need to call Ventana directly. Please make accessibility needs known to us so we can be sure to accommodate.

How and when do I pay for the workshop? 

We accept both credit cards via our secure payment provider and check made payable to Laurie Arons Special Events. Mail checks to:

A deposit of $2,000 is required to reserve space in the workshop. A second payment of $2,000 is due February 1st. The balance of $4,000 is due on March 1st.

In what form do you want me to bring my portfolio?

Laptop, tablets or printed images are all good ways to share your work with the team. One on One sessions can also include website, logo and business stationery advice so please bring those materials if desired.

What should I bring?

Notebook, pen, laptop, warm clothes for evening, comfortable clothing for day, your portfolio in print or electronically, your marketing material and pricing for discussion in One on One sessions.

I’m new to the wedding planning, is this the right workshop for me?

Yes, we will cater to a range to attendees, from working professionals looking to develop their businesses to beginners seeking a start in the industry.

If I have a specific need in my business and would like a one-on-one session to discuss? 

Yes, all attendees will be scheduled one on one time with Laurie Arons, as well as other key speakers, to help address your most pressing needs.

What is the start and end time of each day? 

We will start around 8 a.m. and wrap up around 6 p.m. Attendees will enjoy group dinners with the speakers for additional time to get to know each other.
