What is included?

The $8,000 investment includes 4.5 packed days of education and inspiration, all-inclusive accommodations at the Santa Lucia Preserve, an afternoon enjoying the Preserve’s beauty, complimentary WiFi, special gifts and amenities designed by Laurie for all attendees, staff gratuities and access to an elite group of the industry’s top tastemakers. All meals will be provided Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.


Will ground transportation be provided?

Air travel and transfers are the responsibility of the attendee.


Will all food and drinks be provided?

Yes, meals each day will be provided at the Preserve, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.


Can I come in before or stay after the workshop dates?

The Preserve is a private community that is open to Masterclass attendees during the dates of the workshop. If you need recommendations for local accommodations before or after the Masterclass dates, please contact events@lauriearons.com for suggestions.


What airport do we travel into?

The closest airport is in Monterey but flights are limited. By car, San Jose Airport is one hour away and San Francisco International is about two hours away.


What is the weather like?

The Preserve is in beautiful Carmel, which will have mild springtime weather in March. Hopefully we’ll experience pleasant sunny days, but evenings do get cool and rain is possible.


What should I pack?

The workshop is casual yet professional. We encourage you to dress as you’d be most comfortable sitting in a classroom style setting, but also come prepared to visit outdoor photoshoot locations. Jeans, boots, sweaters and outerwear are great staple items to bring.


Will I have cell phone service?

AT&T coverage is strong at the Preserve, but other carriers are spotty. You may want to confirm service coverage with your cell phone provider before leaving home.


Is there wifi?

Yes, it is complimentary.

Do we need to book our accommodations?

No, we will arrange accommodations for attendees, no need to call the Preserve directly. Please make accessibility needs known to us so we can be sure to accommodate.


How and when do I pay for the workshop? 

We accept both credit cards via our secure payment provider and check made payable to Laurie Arons Special Events. Mail checks to:

A deposit of $2,000 is required to reserve space in the workshop. A second payment of $2,000 is due January 15th. The balance of $4,000 is due on March 1st.


In what form do you want me to bring my portfolio?

Laptop, tablets or printed images are all good ways to share your work with the team. One on One sessions can also include website, logo and business stationery advice so please bring those materials if desired.


What should I bring?

Notebook, pen, laptop, warm clothes for evening, comfortable clothing for day, your portfolio in print or electronically, your marketing material and pricing for discussion in One on One sessions.


I’m new to the wedding planning, is this the right workshop for me?

Yes, we will cater to a range to attendees, from working professionals looking to develop their businesses to beginners seeking a start in the industry.


If I have a specific need in my business and would like a one-on-one session to discuss? 

Yes, all attendees will be scheduled one on one time with Laurie Arons, as well as other key speakers, to help address your most pressing needs.


What is the start and end time of each day? 

We will start around 8 a.m. and wrap up around 6 p.m. Attendees will enjoy group dinners with the speakers for additional time to get to know each other.
