Christine + Brandon

Christine, a former marketing associate at Vogue, and Brandon, a commercial real estate executive in Los Angeles, fell in love with the grand Georgian estate and vast gardens of Filoli in Woodside, California. In fact, that only weddings hosted at Filoli prior to this Fall were for the owners’ daughters in 1941 & 1943. Honoring this era in the wedding design and guest experience was extremely important to the couple.

The ceremony was set in an enclosed garden adjacent to the 1920’s Garden House where the former owner would host ladies for tea. Mindy Rice Design adorned the stunning garden arch from Urban Parlour with greenery, roses and hydrangea. Following cocktails in the sunken English garden, guests made their way to the old tennis court, which had been fully transformed into an open-air dinner space. Romantic lighting in the surrounding old growth oak trees gave the space a magical glow. Guests dined and danced in the style of an old dinner party of the 40’s. The taper candles in the vintage silver candelabras and hand-monogramed linen napkins were fitting touches to the era.
