Elizabeth and Rhys loved the natural beauty of the Napa Valley, but lean towards a clean, modern design aesthetic in their day-to-day life. We wanted to bring these two loves together in their wedding, marrying soft with sleek in a unique way.
The venue, a modern estate overlooking the sweeping valley below, set our scene. For their save the dates and invitations, we used real wood and wood grained paper with gold foil printing to add an elevated elegance to the natural base. In their decor, we started with sleek table top items like polished wood trays, gold flatware and rimmed china, then layered on abundant blush flowers and cascading floral chandeliers overhead.
The bride wore a romantic ball gown silhouette by Carolina Herrara, amped up with flecks of gold scattered throughout the dress and cathedral-length veil. Her maids complimented the look to perfection, each wearing a different blush-toned gown with modern embellishments.
Elizabeth and Rhys wanted to treat their guests to an unforgettable dining experience. After nibbling on hors d’oeuvres like ahi tuna and proscitto-fig grilled pizza, guests were served a seated dinner of local heirloom tomatoes and petite filet stuffed with braised short rib. The surprise late night sweets, including s’mores by the fire, Mexican hot chocolate and macaron ice cream sandwiches, sent everyone home happy.
