Lauren & Jeff’s hometown San Diego wedding was a day full of family, friends and abundant flowers. The couple were married in beautiful Founders Chapel, a special place for Lauren’s family and where her sister had been married as well. Her lace Monique Lhuillier gown was complimented by a cathedral-length veil for the service.
The bride, groom and their guests then made their way to Rancho Valencia for specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before the tented dinner reception. Beautiful etched olive oil bottles served as favors as well as escort ‘cards’, with etched place card tags marking the guests’ seats.
Design inspiration for the wedding was sparked from Casa de Perrin’s dusty blue lace charger that the bride saw and fell in love with. Soft light blue tones and romantic white florals filled the reception. To make a statement in the dinner tent, we worked with floral designer Flowerwild to create a stunning hanging installation of greenery and lanterns, supported by a custom boxwood structure. The bride and groom danced their first dance under glowing lantern light, on a custom painted dusty blue dance floor. One of the highlights of the night was their delicious wedding cake from Momofuku, flown in from New York. Guests couldn’t get enough.
