REHEARSAL DINNER, Pescadero

Photography LAURA GORDON

A few years back, I had the honor of planning the groom’s sister's wedding. When it was time to plan this unique celebration, the groom had one request. “I want our wedding to represent us.” Located on the family’s private property along the California coast, guest’s from all over the world gathered together for an evening that boasted rustic, yet elevated charm. As a special nod to the bride’s Mexican heritage, we incorporated hand-painted plates and delicious culturally-inspired food as well as handmade candles imported from Mexico, sourced by Kathleen Deery. A variety of mezcal margaritas were served throughout the weekend - the couple’s favorite. The bride’s grandmother arrived in her vintage yellow Ford which was a real crowd pleaser, and the folk group from Elan Artists had guests dancing all night.
