Laurie Arons Special Events was recently selected by Vogue magazine for its Ultimate Wedding Planner Master List, recognizing the top wedding planners in the world, by Martha Stewart Weddings to its Top Wedding Planner List in the United States, and by Harper’s Bazaar for its Little Black Book of Best Wedding Planner’s in the country.

In 2015, the company held its inaugural Wedding Planner Masterclass by Laurie Arons to educate and inspire up-and-coming planners to further their businesses.



As a wedding and special event planner, Laurie has created over 600 exclusive events ranging from opulent society soirees to small-yet-glamorous weddings. Laurie is known for her passion for perfection, ensuring each event is spectacular and unique from the first impression down to the smallest detail. Since founding Laurie Arons Special Events in 1994, Laurie has been featured in numerous magazine publications including W, Vogue, Martha Stewart Weddings, C Weddings, People, Glamour, Town & Country Weddings, Geraldine Magazine and InStyle Weddings. Her clients include noteworthy trendsetters like Sofia Coppola, Vanessa Getty and Christy Turlington and prominent business moguls like Gary Friedman, Frank Caufield and Eddie Debartolo. A few years ago, she embarked on a partnership with celebrity chef Tyler Florence to offer truly innovative wedding meals to her clients.

Director of Events


Katie joined Laurie Arons Special Events in 2010 and has managed close to 100 events, overseeing complex multi-day weddings with seamless direction and ease. She came to LASE with a background in luxury brand events for Mercedes-Benz, having produced distinctive VIP events for some of the world’s most discerning clients.

A planner by nature and a romantic at heart, Katie loves nothing more than helping create the perfect day for brides, grooms and their families. Her professionalism and enthusiastic spirirt put clients at ease and ensure a positive planning experience from day one. She holds a masters degree in Marketing from Northwestern University and a bachelors from James Madison University.

Events Manager


Mary’s passion for events, personable communication style, and calm-under-pressure attitude make her a natural Event Manager at LASE. She brings years of valuable experience from the event entertainment industry here in San Francisco, as well as planning weddings for the discerning clientele of Augusta, Georgia. There she became well-versed in the importance of hospitality, graciousness, and tradition – philosophies that are fundamental to the LASE brand.

Mary has a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where her interest in the industry was sparked planning events for alumni.

Creative Design Manager


Kae joined Laurie Arons Special Events in 2017 in a new role leading design initiatives within the company. Her sense of style and eye for beauty are a natural fit for LASE, where she focuses on creative direction, styling and branding to create aesthetically-cohesive events.

Kae, who once dreamed of becoming a lawyer, has had a passion for weddings from a young age. What began as help designing weddings for friends quickly grew into a thriving career. Prior to her relocating to San Francisco from Portland, Oregon, she spent seven years creating weddings in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California.

Events Manager


Amy joined LASE in 2002 as a full-time Events Manager, where she planned and managed events throughout Northern California and Hawaii. Her passion for organization led her to co-design and implement many of the planning processes Laurie Arons Special Events uses today.

Amy continues to take on senior responsibilities during wedding weekends, playing a lead role in overseeing custom guest activities and events throughout the wedding weekend and managing bespoke welcome gifts and amenities.

Amy has a Bachelors degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
