Mariya + Greg

After a thrilling helicopter ride under the Golden Gate Bridge during one of their dates, Mariya & Greg made a pact to take flying lessons and become helicopter pilots together. Their stunning San Francisco city wedding included nods to this important part of their relationship – guests found their table numbers on a set of pilot wings etched with their table numbers and fun hand-launched propellors flew over the dance floor during late night.

They were married in an outdoor courtyard surrounded by their 75 closest friends and family members. Floral designer Kathleen Deery constructed an impressive floral arch at the alter, full of abundant spring blooms in their March wedding.

Music is also important to Greg, so he wanted guests to progress through a unique musical experience at the wedding. Synchronicity Strings played contemporary music for their ceremony and some inventive selections were chosen (Batman music for the groom, Little Miss Sunshine theme for the bride).
The incomparable Paula West performed with her jazz group during their three-course dinner. Afterward, guests made their way into an adjacent bar for a relaxed set by acoustic guitarist & singer Chris Clouse. To cap off the night, Chris Clouse switched roles to DJ the Penthouse party, with live accompaniment by electric guitarist Dave Kim.
